Vampire book list

Vampire book list

I've been meaning to do this post for a while, didn't feel up to doing it. But after doing the last blog post on the scrapbooking and rubber stamping books that I've have read(which probably are all that are out there...so far), I thought I do a post on the Vampire books well authors that I have read and are on my wish list. It will be interesting to see how many different series that I have read and want to read. The one series you will not see on my list is Twilight. I tried to read the 1st book, but could not get into it.

The first on the list has to be of course the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. If you only have seen the series True Blood, you have to read the books. The books are totally different than the series. As much as I like the series, I love the books more. Though there were times that I was kinda mad at the author at certain points in the series. I ♥♥ Eric! :)

Undead Betsy series by MaryJanice Davdison. Fun series to read. You may notice that most of the books do tend to have a humor touch to them.

Argenueau &Rouge Hunter sereis by Lynsay Sands. When she first came out with the series the first book was "Single White Vampire". But that is really the 3rd book in the series. Her Publisher at the time like that book for the start of the series. The first book in the series is really "A Quick Bite".

Dead End Dateing series by Kimberly Raye.

Love at Steak Series by Kerrelyn Sparks. Its a good series, but I haven't kept up with it. :(

Broken Hart series by Michele R. Bradsley. fun series. It is a little romance, course what book doesn't have some romance in it. But again there is humor in it.

Glory St. Claire by Gerry Bartlett.

Imortality Bite series by Michelle Rowen There is only 5 books to the series. but fun.

Blood books (Blood ties tv series) Tonya Huff.

The Hollows series by Kim Harrison

The Dark Ones series by Katie MacAlister

Simon Kirby-Jones mystery series by Dean James.
Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. A friend introduced me to the series way back when. I've read them for I don't remember how long, but I lost interest in the series.

Then there are some anthologies that I've read like
BeWitched Bothered & Bevampured, Many Bloody Returns, Dates from Hell, and Bite

New series/authors on my wish list to give a try are:
Nathaniel Cade series by Christopher Farnsworth  (the 2 books that are so far in the series are now in my to be read pile as I got them Tuesday at a Borders at 90% before that Borders sold out of books and closed on Wednesday)
Chicagoland Vampire by Chloe Neill
Vampire Chef  Sarah Zettel This one is a new series that just coming out

So there is my list. I have a lot there, I know there is a lot more out there, but these are just the ones I know about.

scrapbooking and stamping cozy mysteries

This morning I was on Laurel's Ustream and everyone got to talking about books. Some one mention that there is a scrappbooking series out and then I mentioned there was a rubber stamping series out too. Some were interested. I mentioned the series and the author. The I was going to tweet series and authors that write on these subject. I knew it was going to be more than 140 characters :P, so I thought a blog post would be better. I'll include links to their website, if they have one. After looking things up there aren't as many authors as I thought. LOL but if your into a hobby, there is probably a mystery series for that hobby. :P

Scrapbooking
Scrap-N-Craft mysteries series by Joanna Campbell Slan
Scrapbooking series by Laura Childs  She also writes a tea series that I like too.

Stamping
Stamping Sisters Mysteries by Terri Thayer (While looking up authors on this subject I saw she also writes a quilting series too)
Card Making nystery by Elizabeth Bright (a pseudonym for Tim Myers) Sadly there is only 3 books in this series.

I don't know if it falls to stamping but the there is a Decoupage mystery series by Lucy Lawrence (a pseudonym for Jenn McKinlay. Who writes a couple other series one is a cupcake mystery series that I read too.)

Though i don't knit or crochet here are a couple series that I do read on them
Knitting mystery series by Maggie Sefton
Crochet mystery series by Betty Hechtman

Here is a website that list all the books in the hobby gene by this publishing company. http://berkleysignetmysteries.com/genre.php?id=20 and take a look around the other categories too. This is a good site to see whats out there.

Happy Reading!! :)

Lucky

I've been a lucky streak the last couple of days. Friday afternoon I noticed that Top Chef Bravo started to follow me. I was like hmmm. The I saw on twitter that I was the winner for last weeks prize! :) I was totally surprised, because I don't remember entering. LOL I get a cool little prize pack. a gift card for 1 month free of their Top Chef University. Its like an online cooking class on bravotv.com . I get a copy of their new cookbook "How to Cook Like a Top Chef" and I get a Top Chef Apron. I faxed them all my info so I should get that in a few days or so.

Then today on facebook I follow Shoreline Sightseeing. They give tours on boats of downtown Chicago off Lake Michigan. Every Monday they have a contest to be the first to comment on a post and the winner gets 2 free tickets for a tour. The last few weeks they were doing trivia questions. Today was about around the world in 80 days. There was a picture of this guy who I guess is doing around the world in 80 days. There question was where the guy and also the main character in the book start the trip off at. the question was up for 6 minutes and no one answered it. I was shocked. I didn't know the answer so I did what anyone would do-looked it up online. Answer: London. So I won the 2 tickets! :)

So I have some things to look forward to in the mail soon!
