The page already had the background on it, orange and black on it. Left overs from working on a previous page. That was my starting point.
Then worked on my texture. I tore a book page, and a dictionary pages. tore them into strips and glued them down. I then took a music sheet and cut out hears and glued them down. Lastly I tore some pattern tissue paper and glued that down.
Next was the stencils. I used a circle stencil from Crafter's Workshop in an orange craft paint. Next I used a harlequin stencil with black Dylusions spray. Then I used white craft paint on a circle stencil. I have to admit I thought it was looking like a hot mess. Next I stamped a swiss dot background stamp with Licorise ink pad by Color Box in the Stephanie Barnard line.
Forth was my focal point. I went through my black and white magazine images and took her out to cut out and glued her on the page. I took the ring from an ad and cut it to make it look like a big pendant. The other side I stamped with a alphabet stamp set from Recollections and stamped on tissue paper with black Versafine ink pad the quote. I follow Disney quotes on twitter and they post quotes from Walt Disney and the movies. The one I used is from Alice and Wonderland. The Cheshire cat says the line. I cut out the words and glued it to the page with matte medium.
The last step was the details. I added dots to the bottom of the girl and where her arms and her head with a paint pen. With the same paint pen I went around the stencil where I used the white craft paint. I took a black Bic pen and went around the words. I then took a white Neo color 2 crayon and went around the words again. I took the black Stabilo pencil and went around the girl and used my water brush after.
So there is my 5 in 5. Don't forget to go to Anything but a card challenge blog to see what everyone else dd and play along in this week long challenge

Sheri - love the quote and all the lucious layers on these pages in a challenging color combination! She is so bold - I especially love the ring for the pendant on the lady. :)
Great pages Sheri - love those colours.
Sheri... what a great journal page. I love the sentiment ! The layering on this works so well.
