Week 6 Documented Life 2015

your saying to yourself "self, what happen to her week 5 page?" Well I did do week 5 but I'm not loving the page so it still a work in progress.

Week 6 the prompt was lots of layers and when not to stop. Lots of  fun layers here too. doodleing, and paint and drips and i used glass bead gel that I haven't played with for a while. Valentines day is coming up. I have a love hate with the holiday. I like the holiday. and I would probably love it if I wasn't single and had someone. But since i am single I kinda hate the holiday. And I get kinda gloomy...sad...lonely around this time. Well I get that way from time to time all year long too. Can't be happy go lucky funny self all the time. :)

Week 4 Documented Life 2015

The theme for the week was journaling which I  do not do and words with friends. Lots of fun layers with this page.

Documented Life Project 2015

Once again I am doing the Documented Life project for 2015. This year the ladies of Art to the 5th have decided to only concentrate on the art journaling. For my planning I'm using my Filofax Apax Personal and I'm also doing a Smooooooosh Journal planner for writing what I do and where I go every day. For info on the Soooooosh planner/journal go to Felica's youtube channel MousePotatoDesigns. Its her faulty I got sucked into doing one. lol

I was organically going to just post pictures of all the weeks so far. but like always I took to many pictures of each page. lol. So each week is going to be a separate post.  So here is week 1. We had to use book papers and the prompt was goals.

product review: Ink Joy pens by Paper♥Mate

I revived the Ink Joy 300 RT pens by Paper mate free for reviewing purposes from Smiley 360.

In my mission kit I gt a package of the 300 RT pens to try. I have been using them for about a month, since I got my mission kit. The pens are a medium point. 1.0 m. As you can see the package I got were the assorted colors in Black, Green, turquoise, red, Magenta, purple and Orange.

When you open the package, and click the pen to use the first time there is a little red cap on the pen. I have been using them in my Smoooosh planner and in my Filofax. There is no bleed through on the other side of the calender pages. The pens are really smooth writing with. It feels good with the rubber grip on the pens. These pens fit in my pen collection very nicely.

Anything but a card Challenge 44 Friendship

Its a new month and a new challenge over at Anything But A Card challenge blog. The theme is friendship. After looking through my boxes (yes my craft room isn't unpacked yet) for something else I found a 6x6 canvas that I picked up last year at Goodwill before the move. I took it out thinking I would use it for the challenge.

I started out with taking one of the backings from a napkin, crumpling it up before gluing it down with matte medium. Love all the cool texture. I then gessoed the canvas after the glued dried. Next I originally played with 3 colors of craft paint a patenia, a lemonade, and a light purple. But after all the color was done, I wasn't feeling how it was looking so I gessoed it over again and stuck with the lemonade and the patenia paints. I used a old gift card to scrap the paint on the canvas.

I had a left over piece tape of dry wall tape from a past art journal class. I cut it at different lengths and widths and placed it on the canvas.

I took London Blue Dylusion spray and sprayed with some punchenllia.

I then took the cut grass and fresh lime Dylusions sprays and tried to make some splots. I used an UmWowStudio confetti heats stencil and sprayed Color Shine in Tinsel onto the stencil and them "stamped" the stencil onto the canvas. I didn't get a clean image but liked what I got.  I stamped in black craft paint the line of chevron and the corner bullseye by Viva Las VegaStamps!

While that was drying, I picked out some wood veneer pieces. the banners are from American Crafts and the arrows are from Studio Callico. I first sprayed them with the Fresh Lime Dylusion spray but I wasn't liking the reults. So after gessoing and more spray then adding white paint I got where I liked it. The Blue ones I just painted. Aftered dried I stamped with the washi background stamps by Viva Las VegaStamps! with black craft paint.

I glued the pieces down with Helmar 450 Quick dry. I added some drips with Tim Holt's Distress Stains in the Brushed Pewter on the top then sprayed water to help the drips. I decided the wood pieces need something more so I first painted some perelesent Watercolors by Artist Loft in a white. But thought it needed something else so added Some Rock Candy Stickles. Of course I touched them banner and it wasn't dried and it got messed up. so after trying to get it to the same color as the other green pieces I just painted it another green and restamped and re stickled and glued it back on. The quote I found on Pintrest and typed it up and printed it. Glued it on with glue and seal. Then I stamped the 2 women from VLVS! in Black Versafine ink pad. Colored them in Prisma colored pencils, I put foam tape on them and did put Helmar 450 quick dry on the back of the foam tape to make sue it stays on the canvas.
